The risks covered by the policy are as follows:
- Accidental loss or damage to the vessel
- Personal effects
- Personal accident for yourself and other persons on board the boat
- Your liability to others
- War & associated risks
- Insurance for trailer
- Road transits
- Dropping of or falling overboard of outboard motor where the horsepower does not exceed 65hp

‘The Vessel’ means the vessel named in the Certificate of Insurance and the gear and equipment which would usually be sold with her. It includes the additional equipment and accessories and tenders and dinghy and outboard (s) separately mentioned in the Certificate of Insurance but does not include personal effects.
‘Personal Effects’ means the property other than property mentioned above.
Making a claim
Always act as if uninsured and take all the necessary precautions to avoid or reduce losses
Step 1: Notification
If you would like to lodge a marine hull claim you are kindly requested to notify us immediately of your loss/damage by completing and returning a claim form. You can request a claim form by phone: 21235880 or by e.mail or by calling personally at our offices.
Step 2: Requirements
In the event of loss/damage you must:
- Provide at your own expense all the information and help we need
- Retain all damaged items for us to view, test or inspect
- Take photographs as necessary to prove your loss/damage
- Tell the police immediately about any property which has been lost, stolen or maliciously damaged
- Do all you reasonably can to recover any lost or stolen property
- Provide us with details of any third parties which could be involved in the loss/damages you have suffered
- Forward us immediately and unanswered any legal documents served on you in connection with any claim for legal liability arising from injury or damage
- Not discuss, admit, reject or negotiate any claim with anyone else without our written permission
